Munich Young Leaders Meet in Washington for Alumni Reunion

In 2009, the Munich Security Conference and the Körber Foundation initiated the Munich Young Leaders program, which brings together promising younger experts and future decision-makers for an annual conference during the Munich Security Conference. Now members of all the young leaders classes come together in Washington, DC, for an alumni reunion.

About the Munich Young Leaders: The Munich Security Conference aims to give promising younger experts and future decision-makers an opportunity to participate in the security-policy discourse in order to introduce fresh ideas. Each year, twenty-five outstanding representatives of governmental institutions, parliaments, think tanks, the media and the private sector from Germany, selected NATO member and partner states, as well as from states in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East meet in Munich to debate current issues related to transatlantic and global foreign and security policy. Next to an individual program, which includes discussions with high-ranking participants of the Munich Security Conference, the Munich Young Leaders also take part in the conference itself.
