For the third Cyber Security Summit, the Munich Security Conference (MSC) and Deutsche Telekom will bring together representatives of the Federal Government, EU, NATO, the U.S. Government, and international leading companies. The participants include Brigitte Zypries (Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and former Federal Minister of Justice) who is responsible for digital policy, Sorin Ducaru (NATO Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges) who is responsible for the new security policy challenges of the military alliance, Elmar Brok (Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs), Christopher Painter (U.S. Department of State Coordinator for Cyber Issues), and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, former German Minister of Defense and currently Chairman at Spitzberg Partners LLC. The U.S. lawyer and data privacy expert Ben Wizner, who serves as legal counsel to Edward Snowden, will also be participating in the discussion. From the field of business, participants include Ingrid-Ellen Arnold (CIO at SAP), Siegfried Russwurm (Member of the Board of Management of Siemens), and Rik Ferguson from Trend Micro, one of the leading brains in the area of security technology.
