MSC provides live and current information from the conference room

The 47th Munich Security Conference (MSC) from 4 to 6 February 2011 can be accessed live on the internet. In addition to extensive reporting on this year’s security policy issues and discussions on the website, this year’s Security Conference can also be followed on live stream.

Like last year, the conference can be followed on live stream in German and English languages: from Friday, 4th February, 3.00pm until Sunday, 6th February, 1.30pm, directly on the webpage in the Flash and Windows Media formats. Furthermore, individual contributions on the event can be retrieved from the MSC-Mediathek, which, among other things, provides statements on the conference by high-ranking decision makers of the international security policy.

Through an up-to-date internet service, Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, the Chairman of the MSC, wants to provide comprehensive and direct information from the conference and beyond. With the broadcasting institution Bayerischer Rundfunk offering articles, interviews, videos and TV broadcasts about persons and subjects of the 47th Munich Security Conference, an extensive range of information will be provided by the MSC.

On the public accessibility of the Munich Security Conference, conference organizer Wolfgang Ischinger explains:

“The Munich Security Conference operates with a maximum degree of transparency and does not take place behind closed doors. Not only are there several hundred journalists who prepare detailed reports about the conference – with the live stream, we offer the interested public an additional opportunity to follow the conference live on the internet, too.”
