The Munich Security Conference and the Körber Foundation are hosting the 7th Munich Young Leaders Alumni reunion in Moscow from September 7 to 9. The Munich Young Leaders program is a joint initiative of the MSC and the Körber Foundation. For the past nine years it has invited promising young professionals and future decision-makers to attend the Munich Security Conference, giving them the opportunity to participate in the high-level debates and introduce fresh ideas. Each year, new Young Leaders are selected from among representatives of government institutions, parliaments, think tanks, the media, and the private sector hailing from Germany, select NATO member and partner states, as well as Asia and the Middle East. Among the more than 200 Alumni are several current and former ministers, members of parliament, editors-in-chief, CEOs, and commanding officers.

Alumni reunions convene annually in different locations around the world to meet with representatives of the local foreign policy community and discuss current and regional issues with them and amongst each other. This gives both the established and future leaders the opportunity to maintain and expand their personal and professional relationships. Previous reunions have taken place in Berlin, Rabat, Washington, D.C., and Warsaw. More than 50 Alumni from all over the world will travel to Moscow for this year’s reunion. Over the course of the three-day program, the participants will meet and discuss with a number of senior experts, journalists and high-ranking political figures. At these meetings, topics such as Russia's relationship with the West, the state of Russian civil society, and Russia's information warfare strategy will be at the top of the agenda.
