Thank you for participating in the Junior Ambassadors contest

"I was delighted to see that over 200 dedicated students and young professionals shared their take on why and how multilateralism can be revived", MSC Chairman Ischinger writes about the recently concluded Junior Ambassadors essay contest.

Congratulations to the three winners of this year's Junior Ambassadors contest: Laura Ulatowski from Germany (Graduate of the University of St. Andrews and the University of Leipzig), Arshan Barzani from the United States (student at the Georgetown University), and Bart de Grood (student at the Leiden University). I was delighted to see that over 200 dedicated students and young professionals shared their take on why and how multilateralism can be revived. I would also like to thank all other applicants for their effort and interest in this important issue for international security. As we are witnessing a worrying increase in unilateral action and a weakening of multilateral institutions on the international stage, new ideas on how to strengthen cooperation in international relations are urgently needed.

I look forward to welcoming the three winners in February 2019 at Hotel Bayerischer Hof. I invite everyone to follow the 55th edition of the Munich Security Conference via the live stream on our website, on Facebook and on Twitter.
